Diy Rustic Wedding Decor Questions Answered!

  1. Black Tie Wedding - Need Good Decor Ideas?

So I have fired my event planner. This posting isn't a rant about how much she has screwed me over, but the point is that while I'm trying to find someone else to coordinate the little decor details for our wedding in the last 8 weeks, I am trying to find good ideas online for inspiration. All the big stuff is taken care of, but we just need the little things to be taken care of. The problem is though...I can't seem to find any black tie style websites with good photos of other brides wedding reception decor. When I google "black tie" I come across what appears to be formal... Truly I am not trying to sound like I have my nose in there air with that, since I know that an online question without hearing my voice and tone behind it could be interpreted the wrong way. But honestly I am so frustrated. All the blogs and sites I have found through are very vintagey and DIY in nature. While this is a very charming and lovely new trend with weddings...it is the complete opposite of what our wedding will look like. I'm not trying to put down any brides who are going for that rustic, vintage style, but I just want to find a website or a few good sources that can show reception decor and details for very elegant events that are truly black tie. Can anyone please help me out?

  2. This or That Wedding Ideas?

I usually answer these questions...haha, so no I am asking for some more ideas for my wedding reception decor. It is a very DIY wedding, I am a creative person who LOVES this, and I think it is making it hard for me with ALL these ideas I have. I am on a budget...but not really following one? Does that make sense? Everything is paid for already, except the decor, so I can't break the bank, but am open to all ideas big or little! Colors are Saffron, Pale Green and Charcoal Grey What are some ideas you have? It is at a winery, very elegant with a rustic feel. Diffused lighting, marble floors, wrap around bar, fireplace on dance floor, fireplace out side with extra seating for those who wish to be outdoors after dinner. It will be in November (2013). We are a very wide ranged family from Ranchers to Stock Brokers who like to have a down home good time, yet keep it clean cut. Ideas? Im not big into raffia, vines, grapes or ivy...great ideas, just not me! The winery has no decor of that sort in the reception area.

  3. vintage wedding ideas?

We are getting married this September. We are having a backyard wedding. We want it to have a simple and vintage feel. Our colors are navy blue and golden yellow. Any cute vintage, unique and money saving ideas would be great. Thanks. :)

  4. I need wedding planning advise.?

We're hard working people that don't have a whole lot of money because we are planning to buy our 1st home. And i don't have parent to pay for the wedding. We are planning on having the wedding at his relative's home who has a gorgeous house with alot of private acres. His aunt is cartering the wedding, of course we're paying. With everything else that is involved with planning a wedding I'm totally clueless and don't know how to go about doing this without taking out a loan which could be equal to a student loan. And we don't want to be in dept afterwards. Any classy DIY ideas for a wedding. Please no advise on plastic plates, cups, and crazy decor--that is out of the question.

  5. DIY Christmas Wedding Ideas and Favors?

My fiance and I are getting married on Christmas Eve. We're having a small, intimate wedding in a small chapel that's attached to a nice, rustic hall. It is indoors, but it feels more like a courtyard because of the rock flooring and oak tree in the center of the room. We will only have 35-40 guests, and would like to have a very personalized reception. There will be a DJ playing Frank Sinatra and like music, and we will have a sit down dinner at one large table. I don't know what kind of favors we'll have yet, but I was hoping we could make them ourselves. I've seen a lot of cheesy favors, and I want to really try to make something our guests would actually want to take home. Any ideas as far as favors, centerpieces, or any decor would be very helpful!! Thanks in advance!

  6. How Can I do a nature theme?

After a ton of debate, I finally used my common sense and decided to bring the nature theme of the ceremony into the reception. The ceremony is an outdoor park/vally with a old well and bridge, so it has that timeless rustic outdoors feel :) Is there anyway I can bring that inside the reception hall( which is a small church)?
